The Campaign
The Asian Summer Monsoon Chemical and Climate Impact Project (ACCLIP) was a joint effort between NASA and NCAR that focused on studying the Asian Summer Monsoon (ASM) and how gas and aerosol emissions influence global climate during the ASM. ACCLIP included one deployment during the boreal summer of 2022, with flights based out of South Korea. A series of test flights took place in the summer of 2021 at Ellington Air Force Base (AFB) in Houston, TX. NASA's WB-57 and NCAR's G-V aircraft were equipped with remote sensing and in situ instruments to measure cloud and aerosol properties. ACCLIP was funded through NASA's Upper Atmosphere Research Program.
