The Campaign

The Hyperspectral Imaging of Harmful Algae Blooms (HSI-HABs) was a NASA field investigation focused on collecting hyperspectral imagery of harmful algae blooms (HABs). HSI-HABs had five deployments during boreal summer and fall in 2015-2019 across Western Lake Erie. NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) Hyperspectral Imager (HSI) was equipped on a Twin Otter aircraft to collect remote sensing observations of HABs. Ground-based radiometric observations and water samples were also collected.
