The Cryogenic Hygrometer (CRYO) is an in situ airborne hygrometer manufactured by Buck Research Instruments. It is a cryogenically cooled, chilled mirror hygrometer technique to measure the dew point or frost point temperature. These measurements are used to determine the water vapor mixing ratio. CRYO has a measurement range of -120 to 30 degrees Celsius and a typical response time of 10-20 seconds. It has an accuracy of 0.15 degrees Celsius.
