California Ambient Air Monitoring Network
California Ambient Air Monitoring Network
The California Ambient Air Monitoring Network is a ground-based air quality monitoring system across California, operated by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) along with other federal, state, and local agencies. These sites track both criteria and non-criteria pollutants, particulate matter, toxic air contaminants, and greenhouse gases. It also measures meteorological parameters such as air temperature, relative humidity, pressure, and wind speed and direction. The network has more than 250 monitoring stations throughout California and along the California-Mexico border.
