KASPR
Ka-band Scanning Polarimetric Radar

The Ka-band Scanning Polarimetric Radar (KASPR) is a ground-based polarimetric Doppler radar at the Stony Brook University (SBU) Radar Observatory. Operating at 35.29 GHz, it measures reflectivity, Doppler velocity, and other polarimetric parameters to characterize clouds and precipitation. KASPR has a beamwidth of 0.32 degrees and a range resolution of 15 to 200 meters.
