KASPR
Ka-band Scanning Polarimetric Radar

The Ka-band Scanning Polarimetric Radar (KASPR) is a ground-based polarimetric Doppler radar at the Stony Brook University (SBU) Radar Observatory. It is a 35.29 GHz radar that measures reflectivity, Doppler velocity, and other polarimetric radar observations to characterize clouds and precipitation. KASPR has a beamwidth of 0.32 degrees and a range resolution of 15 to 200 meters.
