Ku-band Scatterometer
Ku-band Scatterometer

The Ku-band Scatterometer is an active sensor operating within the 12-18 GHz frequency range. It is a radar system designed to measure backscatter, usually to determine wind speed and direction. It is commonly used for monitoring ocean surface winds, snow and ice, and precipitation.
