Thermistor
Thermistor

Thermistors are in situ resistance thermometers made from semiconductor materials whose electrical resistance varies with temperature. They detect resistance changes to measure temperature. In Earth science, thermistors are used to measure air temperature, sea surface temperature, and soil temperature.
