Overview

The R/V Aranda is an ice-reinforced, research vessel that is owned and operated by the Finnish Environment Institute. The Aranda has been modified with advanced laboratories and has been utilized in several oceanography missions across the North Atlantic and Antarctic waters. Typical research voyages can be supported by up to a 50-person crew and can last up to 60 days.
