Overview

The Chieftain is a twin-engine propeller aircraft built by Piper Aircraft. It is smaller and simpler in design compared to other research aircraft, making it easier for pilots to handle and fly for various missions. It has a maximum flight altitude of 27,000 feet, a maximum range of about 1,165 miles, and a maximum payload capacity of up to 3,000 lbs.
