Overview

The DataHawk is a miniature uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) developed and operated by the University of Colorado. It is electrically powered and is equipped with a thermodynamic sensor package to measure pressure, temperature, humidity, turbulence, and winds. DataHawk has a duration of 50 minutes, a maximum range of about 35 km one way, and a flight altitude of about 2 km above ground level (AGL). It can reach an airspeed of 27 knots and weighs about 700g.
