Overview

The Electra is a low-wing, medium-range turbo-propeller aircraft. It has been modified to carry numerous instruments for atmospheric research, such as those operated by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). The Electra has a payload capacity of 6,000 lbs, a flight endurance of 6 hours, and can reach a maximum altitude of 25,000 feet.
