Overview
The R/V JangMok is a research vessel owned and operated by the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST). It has mainly been used for studying marine ecology and characteristics across Korea's coastal waters. It is equipped with heavy machinery and instrumentation for various oceanography research needs. JangMok has a maximum speed of 13 knots, a maximum range of 130 miles, and can support a total crew of up to 15 persons.
