Overview

The Learjet is a fixed-wing jet aircraft owned and operated by SPEC Inc. The Learjet can carry up to 3 onboard operators and 2 pilots. It has a maximum altitude of 45,000 ft, a maximum flight duration of 3 hours, and can carry a payload of up to 3,200 ft. The Learjet is typically equipped with SPEC cloud particle probes making it ideal for cloud microphysics research missions. NASA Glenn Research Center also operates its own Learjet research aircraft with the same specifications.
