Overview

The R/V Oceanus was a research vessel that was originally owned and operated by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) before ownership was transferred to Oregon State University (OSU) in 2012. OSU utilized Oceanus for several research voyages that occurred throughout the Pacific Ocean. Typical voyages were supported by up to 25 total staff and crew, could last up to 30 days, and covered up to 7,000 nautical miles. Oceanus was officially retired by OSU on November 21, 2022.
