Overview

The Piper PA-23 is a twin-engined utility light aircraft manufactured by Piper Aircraft. NASA utilized it during the OTTER campaign to collect spectral imagery of coniferous forests in Oregon. The PA-23 has a maximum speed of 187 kn, a maximum range of about 1,320 nmi, and a ceiling altitude of 18,500 ft.
