Overview

The Cessna Pelican is a modified version of the Cessna Skymaster developed by the Office of Naval Research for atmospheric and oceanographic research. The Pelican can operate either remotely or piloted allowing it to support missions that uncrewed aircraft vehicles (UAVs) cannot due to airspace restrictions. It has a maximum altitude of 4 km, a maximum range of 2500 km, and a maximum endurance of 8 hours for piloted missions and 24 hours for remotely operated missions.
